Prophet Muhammed (SAW) said do not waste water “Even if you are on the bank of a flowing river.”- Sunan ibn Majah #425
Some people make Wudu as if they are under a Waterfall or that they seem to be taking a shower, splashing water all over the place! It is sometimes frustrating to go to the Masjid and find the Wudu seats full of water. But whats even more frustrating is seeing the amount of water being wasted whilst fulfiling a command of Allah.
Wasting water is wrong for many reasons. Water is a ni’mah (Blessing) from Allah which is used for many things from washing ourselves, to watering plants, feeding animals, washing our cars etc… In some countries rain is so rare that they have to do Salatul Istisqah (Salah for rain). Recently we have heard about droughts in Somalia and even ‘developed’ countries like USA (California for example).
But going back to Wudu. How to save water yet do Wudu in such a way to develop the spirituality and Khushoo (concentration) needed for Salah. InshaAllah by practicing this we will practice the Hadith above and help the Earth, an amanah (trust) placed on us by Allah Almighty. Let us be a little bit patient and do Wudu properly.
I have compiled a few videos which have helped me to do Wudu in such a way that less water is used. I have benefited myself and feel a big difference in Ibadah (Worship) Alhamdulillah.

AND FINALLY SHAYKH KHATRI OF MAURITANIA
The above are Wudu demonstrations from various schools of thoughts, so please do consult a trusted scholar or your teacher before attempting the above. May Allah bless us and make it easy to worship him properly. Aameen
